Landmark's sustainability strategy is to have the least environmental impact possible from an automotive dealership.
Here are a few examples of what we do:
- Extensive landscaping with Northwest native plants - Maintaining mature trees throughout the dealership grounds - We use low energy lighting, as well as automatic light timers and motion sensors - Heat and A/C thermostats are set on moderate settings and unoccupied settings for areas not in use and are locked to prevent overrides - Recycle used motor oil for Service Department heat since 1985 - Recycle all cardboard, wastepaper, wooden pallets and ink/toner cartridges - Compost onsite all material possible - Adopted the adjacent streets for annual cleanups - Purchase recycled toner cartridges We were awarded the BRAG Award in 2003 from Washington County for excellent business practives in preventing waste, buying recycled and recycling. We have improved our practices even more since that date and continue to look at opportunities to lessen our carbon footprint.
