Everyone here at Landmark Ford Lincoln, was super excited by the newest Ford concept vehicle. The Atlas concept debuted at the North American International Auto Show in late January. Keeping in mind the staunch competiveness of the pickup truck segment in the automotive industry, the Atlas concept allowed Ford to showcase a lot of new features and technologies that may find themselves playing an integral role on our new Ford F-150 models.

Some of you in the greater Portland area might have heard about Vehicle-to-Vehicle technology, V2V for short. It's a project that multiple automakers are working together on to make our vehicles safe using communication systems between vehicles, and Ford is chipping in. It's also asking college students around the Midwest to take part as well.

Recently, Ford conducted a study with The Detroit News surveying nearly 2,500 drivers asking them about advancements made in the auto industry. It led to some interesting responses from drivers that we here at Landmark Ford would like to share with those in the greater Portland area.

Infotainment systems on new Ford models like MyFord Touch and SYNC are hits with drivers in the greater Tigard area. It helps them stay connected while they are on the go, while also offering many helpful tools like navigation, but sometimes, the automatic notifications we get from each system might not come at a good time. Ford understands this and is looking to develop stress monitoring systems that will let MyFord Touch and SYNC know when to give notice of something happening, or when not to.

The EcoBoost feature on new Ford vehicles available here at Landmark Ford LINCOLN is a big hit, as the engine technology helps Tigard area drivers stretch their miles per gallon further. And, those who love it locally are not alone, as EcoBoost has posted impressive sales numbers recently.

In early March, Ford took some time to celebrate with Pi. Not the apple or cherry varieties, but rather 3.14, the mathematical concept.
