Myanmar Becomes Ford's Next Target
Strict import controls and international sanctions have been keeping the vehicle scene in Myanmar very, to put it lightly, narrow. Fortunately, the government's rules have loosened recently and, after 50 years, U.S. companies are coming back into the country for a vastly untapped demographic of drivers. An estimated 80 percent of vehicles on Myanmar's roads are of Japanese make but Ford is hoping to change that quite soon.
