Fuel economy is, by far, one of the biggest factors to consider when buying a new vehicle. No one here at Landmark Ford Lincoln is going to question that fact. What we can do is offer up a list of vehicles that we know are light on gas and big on, well, everything else.
First up is the Ford Fiesta. Available in either a sleek sedan or versatile hatchback form, the Fiesta features a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine under the hood. This allows it to get a zippy 120 horsepower and 112 lb.-ft. of torque. But what everyone can't seem to rave about the most in the 2012 Fiesta is the fact that it achieves and amazing 29 mpg city/39 mpg highway.
Looking for something a little roomier? The compact Ford Focus brings a little more space to the table, but still packs enough fuel economy to relieve the pain that many drivers feel at the pump. In cold, card numbers that translates into 26 mpg city/36 mpg highway. Under the hood, it packs a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 159 horsepower and 146 lb.-ft. of torque.
We know, we know. Some of you out there simply aren't content with a subcompact or even a compact vehicle. That's why Ford also offers a great mid-size option in the Ford Fusion Hybrid. It features a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 156 horsepower and 136 lb.-ft. of torque. And, of course, it comes with all the same comfortable room that the standard Ford Fusion does as well. And the fuel economy? That would be something to the tune of 41 mpg city/36 mpg highway.
