Ever since its debut as a concept car at the 2012 North American Auto Show, we here at Landmark Ford Lincoln have been eagerly awaiting the official arrival of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. As the 2012 New York Auto Show approaches this April, all indicators seem to say a production model of the luxury sedan will be revealed.

How do we know, you might ask? Well, recently a heavily camouflaged version of the Lincoln MKZ was spotted by photographers. Considering the concept for the 2013 Lincoln MKZ was already shown to the public earlier this year, we have to wonder what else the American automaker could have to hide. Perhaps a new feature to surprise us all? Nobody knows for sure.

Still, everything from the hood, doors, and even trunk were covered in black matte material so as not to reveal the Lincoln MKZ. While the material covered most of the vehicle's design features, there were still some things that we could easily notice. First, it appears the overall presence of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ has gained a stronger stance as it transitioned from concept car to production model. The luxury sedan is taller, wider, and the hood slopes down less. The horizontal lines on the front-end grille have stayed intact from the concept version, which is a good thing, because truthfully, we really like them!

We won't rule out the possibility that Lincoln could be planning something entirely different at the New York Auto Show, and save the unveiling of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ for another event, either. We'll just have to wait and see.
