We here at Landmark Ford Lincoln will be the first to admit that while models like the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Focus are agile, efficient, and visually appealing, the last thing that they scream is performance. Let's face it, you won't find the Fiesta or the Focus tearing up the track anytime soon, but that doesn't mean that Ford won't try to give it a shot anyway, as the American automaker has already added sportier versions of both models its lineup, such as the XR Turbo or the RS1800. Recently, however, Ford opted to take things one step further at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where they unveiled the turbocharged Ford Fiesta ST concept to an eager crowd.
What's new in this turbocharged Fiesta? It actually may be easier to point out what isn't new, as the LED headlights, a honeycomb grille, 17-inch wheels, and lower intakes with round fog lights dominate the vehicle's exterior. Meanwhile, Ford ups the anter under the hood, with a 180-horsepower engine that allows the Fiesta ST to zip from 0-60 in just under seven seconds and achieve a top speed of 135 miles per hour.
The best part of the new Ford Fiesta ST isn't any one feature, however, but rather the fact that it may be closer to production than the American automaker is letting on. In fact, some are even claiming that it could be on dealership lots, like ours at 12000 SW 66th Ave Tigard, OR 97223, as early as 2013!
